Skin Tight has the usual formula of ex-lawman, bizarre criminals, seedy but exotic landscape, and I guess there's some unintentional irony playing out when a book, poking savage fun at the cosmetic surgery business in phony and corrupt Florida, is itself a do-over of sorts.4/5.
Skin Tight satirizes and lampoons the cosmetic surgery industry and the desperate, shallow subset of society that supports that field.
Hiassen has his formula, you may recognize the darkly witty antihero, the female interest, the cocky villain who gets increasingly frustrated throughout the tale, and the villain's goon, who gets strangely /5(). Skin Tight (Mick Stranahan Book 1) - Kindle edition by Hiaasen, Carl.

Bestselling author Carl Hiaasen serves up a humorous helping of “taut, fast-paced action crisp and hot” (The New York Times). After dispatching a pistol-packing intruder from his home with the help of a stuffed Marlin head, Mick Stranahan can’t deny that someone is out to get him.
Skin Tight is about Leah, an elementary Kindergarten teacher, and Ian, a construction company owner that comes from wealth. These two have explosive chemistry and the sex scenes are HOT, HOT, HOT!!!. From the beginning of the book, you can feel the love between these two and they stand strong together whatever I LOVE this series and this book /5.
"Skin Tight" is one of Carl Hiaasen's earlier novels. Given the consistent quality of Hiaasen's prolific and wickedly funny skewering of south Florida and its wacky inhabitants, it is difficult to pick a Hiaasen "best", but "Skin Tight" is definitely a contender.5/5(5).
